Learning poetry and songs in any language is the easiest way to get acquainted and learn and articulate the language in its purest form. 

Marathi poems are  rhythmic. They help you learn the calendars, animals, colours 

But they also teach “values”. 
Many advance poetry is for instilling the power of unity, respect, love for country, importance of time management , self respect , empathy etc, which helps children grow not just in language but as better human beings .
